Korean cooking workshop at Espacio Sarang

Workshop

Yesterday we presented Hiuka and gave a Korean cooking workshop at Espacio Sarang, a Korean language academy that, in addition to classes, offers various activities to bring Korean culture closer to people from other places.

On this occasion, we prepared memilguksu (buckwheat noodles) and mandu (Korean dumplings), a perfect combination for the hot weather in Madrid.

First, Jaegeun showed how to prepare the noodles, and then each participant plated up following his instructions. Later, he explained the filling for the mandu and the technique for closing and shaping them.

The best part was seeing the students prepare their own mandu. For many, it was their first time, but we were surprised at how well they did.

It was a pleasure to chat with you, share the table, and see the interest and enthusiasm with which you participated in the entire workshop. These gatherings remind us why we love this project so much: cooking, learning, and creating spaces where Korean culture can be experienced up close.

Thank you to Espacio Sarang and everyone who came.

See you next time!
