Korean-style rice with egg, a simple, delicious dish that is super quick to make at home. Use up that leftover rice from the day before that you have in the fridge.
Ingredients
- 200 g cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (Sempio's jin-ganjang)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (from Otoki)
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
For the egg
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of salt
- Sunflower oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (from Otoki)
Tip
- *You can add chives and seaweed to enrich the dish.
Step by step
- 1 Put cooked rice (it should be very hot) in a bowl.
- 2 Fry the egg with sunflower oil and a little sesame oil, which will give it a more aromatic flavour.
- 3 Add salt to the egg and fry until the white has a crispy crust and the yolk is creamy.
- 4 When the egg is ready, place it on top of the rice.
- 5 Add the soy sauce, two tablespoons of sesame oil, the sesame seeds and the butter.
- 6 Mix everything well and it's ready.
