Korean-style rice with egg, a simple, delicious dish that is super quick to make at home. Use up that leftover rice from the day before that you have in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 200 g cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (Sempio's jin-ganjang)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (from Otoki)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

For the egg

  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • Sunflower oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (from Otoki)

Tip

  • *You can add chives and seaweed to enrich the dish.

Step by step

  1. 1 Put cooked rice (it should be very hot) in a bowl.
  2. 2 Fry the egg with sunflower oil and a little sesame oil, which will give it a more aromatic flavour.
  3. 3 Add salt to the egg and fry until the white has a crispy crust and the yolk is creamy.
  4. 4 When the egg is ready, place it on top of the rice.
  5. 5 Add the soy sauce, two tablespoons of sesame oil, the sesame seeds and the butter.
  6. 6 Mix everything well and it's ready.
