This version of Tteokbokki is perfect for those who do not eat spicy food.
Ingredients
- 200 g of tteok
- 150 g oyster mushrooms
- ½ onion
- 1 green pepper
- 50 g chives
Sauce
- 25 g soy sauce (Sempio jinganjang)
- 10 g brown sugar
- 5 g sesame oil
- 1 clove of garlic
Step by step
- 1 Cut the onion into strips and the chives diagonally.
- 2 Cut the green pepper into thin strips.
- 3 Break the oyster mushrooms with your hands.
- 4 In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, chopped garlic and sesame oil.
- 5 Sauté the mushrooms in a frying pan over medium-low heat and set aside.
- 6 In the same pan, sauté the onion, green pepper and chives.
- 7 Add the sautéed mushrooms and tteok.
- 8 Add water until lightly covered and add the sauce.
- 9 Boil until the tteok is soft and reduce until the sauce thickens.
